In an effort to inspire young singers to achieve their maximum
potential, the Chester County Choral Society established its
Excellence In Vocal Performance Award Competition in 1993. All high
school seniors who either reside in or attend school in Chester
County are eligible for these awards. The purpose of the awards is to
recognize, promote and reward the achievement of vocal excellence in
young singers in Chester County. Over the last decade, the Choral
Society has recognized scores of talented vocal performers and
awarded over $11,550 in prizes.
Voice teachers and high school vocal departments in Chester County
will receive information in December 2010 about the nineteenth annual
competition.
