Mission Statement
The Chester County Choral Society (CCCS)
is an avocational chorale
dedicated to excellence in performing
diverse choral music in order to enrich
the cultural life of its members,
audiences and community.
Vision Statement
Recognized as Chester County’s premier
choral organization, the Chester
County Choral Society is a
well-respected and integral part of cultural life
in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Through
continued growth in membership
and excellence in a variety of musical
styles, Chester County Choral Society
is able to reach out to the Chester
County community, entertaining and
educating an ever-increasing audience.
CCCS believes in:

Educational programs which inspire and nourish vocal talent among
the youth of Chester County;

Outreach performances that uplift the spirits of residents of the
Chester County region;
·
Collaborative efforts with professional guest soloists,
conductors, orchestras and choirs to enhance the quality of its programming;
·
Regular opportunities at rehearsals for singers to improve their
musical skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities of all members in supporting the CCCS Mission:
Quality
Strive for 100% rehearsal attendance and
attention.
Come to
rehearsals ready to rehearse – be on time (in your seat 5 minutes before
scheduled time).
Strive to be a
“professional” (pencil ready, good posture, no gum, listen rather than talk, pay attention to Gary during rehearsal, even when he’s
working with another section, etc.).
Read and heed Gary’s e-mail messages.
Practice on your own between rehearsals.
Inform your Section Representative and Gary if you
must miss a rehearsal.
If you miss a rehearsal, get the music markings from
your Section Representative or neighbor.
Financial Stability
Pay dues in a timely manner.
Participate in the Patrons Program.
Support the CCCS fundraising event, Evening of Dinner
and Song, through participation, ticket sales and by obtaining silent auction
items.
Sell concert tickets.
Marketing and Audience
Development
Advertise CCCS concerts by distributing posters and
postcards, church bulletins and by talking to friends, neighbors and
associates.
Provide a list of contacts who might like to know
about our events.
